Building on the capabilities and experience behind the ACE functional test automation
platform, we are developing a new AI-native test engineering environment designed for
effective collaboration between human experts and AI agents.
The goal is not simply to add AI features to ACE. The new platform is being designed to
support the test engineering lifecycle from specifications and test creation through
execution, review, and evidence generation – while keeping human verification and
approval in place wherever engineering judgment is essential.
AI can significantly accelerate test creation, but speed alone is not enough for complex or business-critical systems. Tests must remain reliable, traceable, reproducible, and understandable.
Our approach therefore combines AI assistance with human-in-the-loop control. AI agents can suggest and generate content, while engineers retain responsibility for
critical decisions and approvals.
This is particularly relevant for organizations operating regulated, highly integrated, or
restricted environments where accountability and auditability are essential.
Development is ongoing, and the platform is not yet a finished enterprise product.
However, its functional core is already operational and available for demonstration and
pilot projects.
